The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation provides grants to help defray the cost of the purchase and/or training of a service dog to assist a Cohasset resident with a disability.  Service Dogs can be trained to help those with mobility impairments, detect or respond to seizures, detect high or low blood sugar levels, aid those with hearing or vision impairments and more.

CWDF does not select the providing agency for an applicant, but may offer some advice  in researching appropriate providers and provide support during the application process.  In most cases, CWDF grants will be payable directly to the providing agency after the applicant has been approved to receive a dog from that agency.  Applicants must be permanent residents of the Town of Cohasset, Massachusetts and must have been a resident for more than one year.
